- Education and Experience:
Any combination equivalent to: bachelor's degree in social work or related field or certified teacher and
successful experience in individual/group counseling and social service delivery.
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a related field.
- Such additional qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

SUPERVISES: N/A
BASIC FUNCTION: Works to provide discipline throughout the student body and deals with special cases as necessary. Coordinate activities with school administration to implement program and district policies and objectives; communicates with school, family, and community groups.
REPRESENTATIVE PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body and deals with special cases as necessary.
- Performs such record-keeping functions as the principal may direct.
- Reviews the reporting and monitoring of student attendance and works with the attendance supervisor for follow-up actions.
- Works with ICE, CEO, and EDGE Coordinators to provide interventions for students who are not successful in the regular education program at Henry County Middle School
- Collaborates and consults with district staff in planning and implementing intervention strategies for at-risk students.
- Assists in the orientation of new staff and students and provides opporunities for their input in the school program.
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Middle School Principal/Superintendent.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Days and salary to be established by the Board upon the recommendation of the superintendent.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with
provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional
Personnel.
